the Human Rights Council requested the United Nations High
Commissioner for Human Rights to provide to the Council, within the framework of an
interactive dialogue and with the participation of the Designated Expert (expert) on the
situation of human rights in Haiti, an oral update on the situation of human rights in Haiti at
its sixtieth session and a report on the subject at its sixty-first session. The present report also
contains an analysis of progress made in the implementation of recommendations from
previous reports1.
