• With preparations underway for the 2026/27 school year, as many as 280,000 children (one third of children targeted) are at risk of not receiving school meals as a result of gaps in available resources.
• Elections will take place on 13 December, subject to funding and security. Political party registration began in July, noting challenges in the Ouest – the department most affected by violence, and the most populous.
