The humanitarian situation in Haiti has continued to deteriorate due to an increase and intensification of violence associated with armed gangs. Gang violence in the capital Port-au-Prince continues to escalate, with much of the violence targeting the civilian population, including women and girls. 6.4 million
● More than 2,600 people have been recently displaced following attacks by armed gangs on 23 August 2026 in the municipality of Kenscoff, in the West department.1 UNFPA and its implementing partners conducted rapid needs assessments and deployed integrated mobile clinics to deliver life-saving sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and gender-based violence (GBV) services.
