In fiscal year 2002, USAID/Haiti began the fourth year of its six-year strategic
plan. When the plan was implemented, the mission budgeted for a funding
level of $70 million per year to meet its assistance goals. However, the
program has not received the expected funding levels. USAID/Haiti’s general
goal areas and their planned fiscal year 2002 and 2003 funding levels, in
millions, are presented in the following table:
