At least 755,000 children are currently displaced in Haiti – a crisis deepened by armed
violence that displaced a further 29,500 people in Port-au-Prince, Artibonite and Centre
during the reporting period alone. Cholera remains a concern, with 278 suspected cholera
cases reported in four departments. Furthermore, more than 5,530 Haitian children were
forced back across borders they had fled to escape.
