In its resolution 55/24, the Human Rights Council requested the United Nations High
Commissioner for Human Rights to provide it, within the framework of an interactive
dialogue with the participation of the independent expert on the situation of human rights in
Haiti, with an interim report on the situation of human rights in Haiti at its fifty-seventh
session. In the present report, the High Commissioner provides an update on the subject since
the submission of the last comprehensive report to the Council at its fifty-fifth session. The
High Commissioner also analyses progress made in the implementation of recommendations
from previous reports.1
